Dark Tears of La Llorona

The homeless children of Miami have their own set of myths and stories they tell to scare themselves silly, just like children do all over the world.  It helps them cope with a reality that is just as hair-raising.

One such story is “La Llorona,” The Crying Woman, who murdered her own children.  She weeps dark tears from her empty eye sockets, feeds on the terror of homeless children, and haunts the waterfronts and men who drink or cheat on their wives, for it was a man who caused her to slay her offspring.

    Absolutely gorgeous. I do wire crochet also but nothing that comes close to this! Love it.
