This is the only PC I like—polymer clay!
While I was waiting for Greg Mortenson’s interview to start (you did watch him on PBS tonight, right? ‘cuz it was excellent), I sat down to get seriously back in touch with my inner bead maker. As I passed the clay through my beautiful red pasta machine and opened jars of sparkly Pearl Ex Powdered Pigments, handled deadly sharp tissue blades without slicing off my fingers and let my imagination wander, I relaxed into the creative mode. I definitely like the way the hearts came out (that’s the imprint of an iris on the green heart—shimmery white powder hides the green from the camera), as well as the cube with spirals and the spiral coins, so will probably make a few more. Not sure what I’m going to do about the coin pentacle (one side raised with white pigment, one side incised with purple pigment shown), but this one isn’t doing it for me. There will be a coin pentacle bead; of that much I’m sure!
