Young Witchling

21 Jul

I don’t remember what I was looking for, going through my thousand pounds of paper files, but I chanced upon a forgotten file of miscellaneous bobs and bits wherein lay this little art piece, a self-portrait doodle harking back to either my senior year of high school or my first year of college in Utah.  I can tell by the mellow yellowing of the paper and the hair style; my natural curls had yet to achieve their current tight coil and what curl I had was ruthlessly tamed by the dry desert sun and vigorous brushing.  I rather like this little jewel and I’m glad it survived.  I hope you enjoy this rare glimpse into the ancient and long-ago world of this current-day crone.

Beautiful Picture Kat! You drew that?! Wow! That is talent! I can draw a really good stick-figure but nothing more… 🙂

Ah, jeeeze you guys, you’re making me blush.

Sometimes a stick figure can say more than all the fancy, feathery strokes you can devise — especially when the poor stick figure is hanging from a gallows and you just lost another game of Hangman!

Hello dearest witch! I have missed you sorely, also. I am desperate to catch up on all that is happening with you. I am still getting used to my new laptop (yeah!) and Vista (yuck!). Today I have been dealing with my cursor stubbornly just freezing up. I think it’s related to how Vista is themed and how much RAM is being used for all the new bells and whistles (which is to say waaayy too much (almost 50%)!).

I was surprised to meet your brother, although I think I remember you mentioning him. He’s very interesting and amazingly erudite. And if he looks anything like you, my sweet, I bet he’s drop-dead gorgeous to boot!

I hope to visit your blog within the next few days, although I’m getting ready for blood tests on the dear little kidneys on Wednesday by inundating them with an oceanful of lovely liquids designed to flush them clean and clear. And as we all know, what goes in does have a way of demanding to be let out!

Just knowing you are thinking of me brings joy and light into my life. May your life be filled with as much joy and light, my dearest.

      ♥Kat
