Winter Solstice Song by Lisa Thiel

22 Dec

Today is Yule, also known as the Winter Solstice and Mid-Winter Eve. It is always held on the shortest day and the longest night of the year. From this point onward, the nights will become shorter and the days will become longer. To early peoples, this was proof that the Sun King had been reborn and that the cycle of life continued. This video embodies the wonderful neo-pagan celebration of Yule, one of the lesser sabbats of the Wheel of the Year. Enjoy.
