Evil, wicked, mean and nasty – NOT! Well, maybe a little bit wicked, but only in the very best way. I’m a beautiful, talented, funny, kind and wonderful…Faerie Witch! A solitary practitioner of The Craft, I am drawn to ethereal nature spirits such as The Fae; but I also study and incorporate many other traditional and non-traditional elements in my eclectic workings, including Green (or Natural) Witchcraft.

I believe in faeries — what do you believe?

For me, the practice of Witchcraft is the freedom to commune directly with Divinity. I do not want or need a go-between in order to experience the Divine. I believe in the Goddess, God and the All-In-One from which all came, comes and will return, but I do not believe in Satan or the Devil. The concept of the Devil is purely a Christian concept. As a practitioner of the Craft, I acknowledge, accept and value the existence of both light and dark, life and death, and know that one does not exist without the other, but I do not believe in Heaven or Hell.

I believe in reincarnation and karma; I believe that matter can neither be created nor destroyed, it can only be transformed; and I believe in the teachings of Jesus, but I don’t accept what has been done or created in his name. I support the right of every individual to seek spirituality as they see fit, but I don’t accept anyone’s assertion that their way is the only and right way to approach Divinity.

My way works for me; it doesn’t work for everyone and I don’t expect it to. Through Witchcraft, I am actively striving to bring more love and support into my life and to bring more love and support into the lives of others. It’s my hope that, once you get to know me and learn more about The Craft, you will see that Witch only accidentally rhymes with bitch!

I’m also a retired civilian Contract Negotiator for the US Navy. There could not have been a better job for a woman, in my opinion — spending other people’s money (and spending it wisely, too)!! My expertise was in the field of research and development, first for submarine technology and then simulation and training technology (really cool stuff, the kind of stuff that ends up in hi-tech video games). But in all seriousness, I am very proud of our Troops and know the research efforts I supported makes their lives and unfortunate duties safer.

I retired in May of 2006 as a result of the debilitating effects of Hereditary Angio Edema (if you want to know more about this life-threatening condition, please click here; you can help support the HAE community financially without spending a penny just by using the GoodSearch search engine (click here) and entering “HAE” where you are asked “who do you GoodSearch for?”).

I finally have oodles of time to read for pleasure and spirit, and have added five more bookcases to house my growing metaphysical treasure-hoard and resources. I’m increasing my knowledge of herbs and oils, creating my own potions and lotions, soaps and scents, incense and candles, jewelry and art.  My once spotless home is now thoroughly lived in and it shows!

I love children; especially other people’s children. I decided at an early age not to have children (am I the only one who remembers the “population explosion?”) because of my HAE, so I play “mother” to three adorable Yorkshire Terriers (and for a few years I was a Girl Scout troop leader with two of my also-childless girl friends – it was the closest we could get to being Grandmothers – spoiled them rotten, got them hyped up and messy, then sent them home for their parents to deal with!). My three surrogate four-legged children, Mindy, Teddie and Mickey, have been more than enough to keep my hands full and fill my life with an incredible amount of joy.  Not a single one of them has expressed any interest in becoming my familiar, although Mindy has designated herself as Queen of the household, Teddie is King of the backyard, and Mickey claims Lordship over all tummy rubs.
