These little purses are both a box and a gift. I made them for the women who saved my teeth. I’ll be seeing them again to have one last tiny cavity filled in mid-December and I wanted to give them each a little something since they’ve been so supportive and kind. Inside each box are cotton balls and a vial of lavender essential oil. They can tuck the boxes in their lingerie drawer or use the beaded handle to hang them in a closet. I chose lavender because it is the most tolerated and gentlest of all the essential oils, plus it is very calming and relaxing. I always keep a sachet in with my night garments to help me fall asleep more easily.

I lucked into a 75% off sale on sparkle scrapbook card stock, but I wasted a few sheets figuring out how to (1) get it through my printer without getting stuck and (2) modifying the template I used. Even so, a few sheets I ran through twice or more so the insides aren’t that pretty; oh, well.
I purchased the star decorations on sale, too, and already had the crystals, Velcro, cotton balls, 50¢ vials and essential oil on hand, so these little prezzies cost very little in materials. Labor, on the other hand….whew! I hope the ladies like them.
