Knight of Chalices Your present position.
KNIGHT OF CHALICES

You are now learning to recognise, and act on, your desires. This card can indicate the beginning of a romantic encounter, where as yet there is no desire for commitment. There is a need for an exploration of all possibilities, along with a growing sense of how you can recognise and integrate your deepest emotions. The Knight of Chalices brings the realisation that both the wisdom and the sexuality aspects of a relationship need to be explored. Desire can burn out quickly unless it is backed up by a connection based on a common goal and the ability to communicate. This card denotes a deeper exploration of the self, and the need to communicate your desires and wishes clearly, in order to see them fulfilled

Question to ponder: What possibilities need to be explored further, before you commit yourself to the new in your life?

King of Chalices What crosses you.

KING OF CHALICES

The King of Chalices represents the romantic image of the ideal man – someone who is passionate about life, who freely expresses his emotions, and who is able to be touched by them on all levels of his being – physical, emotional, mental and spiritual.

For a woman, this card can indicate an ideal love entering her life, or already present. For a man, it shows the ability, and the desire, to enter wholeheartedly into a relationship, with a sense of joy and commitment. This card can also mean that an offer is about to be made to you by a man who is in tune with his creativity. It can denote a patron of the arts. You can now trust any guidance, or offers made to you, as these are likely to bring you success in your undertakings.Question to ponder: What is your vision of an ideal relationship?

Two of Vesicas What is above you
- The Future.

TWO OF VESICAS – Change

The Two of Vesicas is a reminder that all of life is based on change. Nothing can remain static, and even endings lead into new beginnings. It is important at this time to go with the flow, and not attempt to manipulate events or situations. All things will come to you in due course. This card, due to its rulership by the planet Jupiter, suggests a change for the better, if you can be patient.

What is needed now is an integration of the solar and lunar aspects of yourself, the powers of reasoning going hand in hand with the powers of intuition. During the highs and lows of life, your ability to remain centred is what will help you the most.

Question to ponder: Can you sit back and allow the situation to unfold in its own time?

King of Staffs What is beneath you
- Passing out of your life.

KING OF STAFFS

The King of Staffs indicates a time of great forward movement. An influx of energy is coming that you will not be able to ignore. With this will come [came] a feeling of excitement, and of impatience to make things happen. Life is responding to that urge by creating changes around you. You can now tap[ped] into the rising tide of eagerness and enthusiasm, overcome any difficult situations that may arise, and enable your leadership qualities to come to the fore.

This card shows strong-mindedness, and an indomitable will. There is an open honesty in your optimism that will attract other people to you, and enable your inspired ideas to be put into action.Question to ponder: Where do you [I] seek [sought] change in your [my] life?

Ten of Chalices What is behind you
- The Past.

TEN OF CHALICES – Happiness

This card indicates a time of deep happiness. All of your efforts are about to be rewarded, shifting your view of the world into seeing it as a place of great beauty. You are now open to love, and to feeling a sense of connection with the universe and to the people around you. You can now tap into, and express, the wellspring of happiness and joy that comes from the very essence of your inner being.

The Ten of Chalices signifies emotional fulfilment. Your imagination can now grow wings, and fly you to new and undreamed of heights of bliss. You can now fully access the areas of inner mystery within yourself, and experience heightened creativity in all areas of your life.Question to ponder: What would bring you the most happiness at this time?

The High Preistess What is before you
- The Future

THE HIGH PRIESTESS

The High Priestess is the consort of the Magician. Her powers are equal to his, yet different. Whereas the Magician needs the tools of the elements to work with in order to manifest his desires, the High Priestess requires nothing but her body, mind and intuition. Together, these first two figures in the tarot give rise to the third, the Empress – the birthing process.

The High Priestess signifies the power of intuition, and the transformation that takes place once you listen to your inner voice. She symbolises an attunement with the magic and mystery inherent in every facet of life. This is not something that the logical mind can grasp – it is too intangible and elusive, yet can be known on a subtle level and worked with. The High Priestess encourages you to follow your inner feelings, and ignore the voice of the mind. To enter the mystery hidden behind her veil, there is the need to surrender rationality, withdraw any tendencies to look at what is on the surface, and allow yourself to listen to your feelings. This card suggests that you follow your intuition, and understand that, if you act on it, you will be enabled to understand aspects of your situation that could not be seen or understood previously

Question to ponder: Are you now ready to follow your intuition?

Queen of Chalices Where you will find yourself.

QUEEN OF CHALICES

This card signifies that you are now ready and willing to give of yourself in an unconditional way. You have the ability to relate to your deepest feelings, and to express them through your creative and imaginative faculties. There is a need to both give and receive love, as it is a cornerstone of your existence.

You know what you want, and how to go about getting it. The Queen of Chalices represents the ideal of womanhood and motherhood, and this card shows that you are learning the lesson of how to integrate passion with unconditional love.Question to ponder: Are you accepting and loving yourself as unconditionally as you accept and love others?

Knight of Swords Your surroundings and
- or how others see you.

KNIGHT OF SWORDS

The Knight of Swords indicates that there is a need to cut away the dead wood in your life. A clearing process is taking place, which entails a time of pruning, and of honing issues down into essentials.

This card advises you to look at what is no longer needed in your life. If something no longer serves a useful purpose, it is time to let go. New growth can take place once previous, unhelpful, issues have been dealt with, resolved, and released.Question to ponder: What entanglements do you feel a need to break free from?

The Wheel of Fortune Your hopes – or fears

THE WHEEL OF FORTUNE

The Wheel Of Fortune symbolises the constant cycles of change that we experience in life. There are always high points and low points, and the teaching of this card is to learn to stay centered in who you are, whatever is happening externally in your life.

A change is coming into your life, and it is likely to be a change for the better. Even if it does not seem to be what you want, this change will move you in a new, and perhaps surprising, direction. It indicates a breakthrough in your situation that leads to an expansion within yourself. Ensure that you stay centered, and allow yourself to go with the flow.Perhaps you could picture yourself as a wheel – the spokes are the outward experiences which are drawn into your life, but at the centre, the hub of the wheel is the aspect of yourself which remains undisturbed by the outward movement at the rim.

Question to ponder: How can you find and maintain your centre?

Eight of Staffs The Outcome.

EIGHT OF STAFFS – Directness

This card indicates that you are now able to accomplish your goals through direct, swift action. Changes are occurring within you and around you, and you need to be focused and clear about what you want. This is a time of forward movement, and indicates that news is on its way that will bring you joy.

Clear, direct communication is vital at this time, as you are now ready to forge ahead. With correct use of the will, you can attain your desires. The arrows in this image symbolise your power to focus. They can also be seen as the arrows of love, indicating that someone may be about to enter your life with whom you feel a strong affinity.Question to ponder: Are you now ready to see the attainment of your goals?

This reading is strongly encouraging, although I am not yet clear on what entanglement needs to be cut as indicated by the Knight of Swords (it could be my reliance on my “no cost editor,” although he might turn out to be the King of Chalices!). Altogether, I am very happy with this reading and see the steps that need to be taken to bring it to fruition. We will see if I am successful within the next 3 months!
